Hand
in hand,
Arm
in arm,
Fingers
locked tight,
Leaning
one on one
They
walk in the rain.
Cats
and dogs
The
rain pours.
Less
cared about
The
heavy rain
They
seem as they tread.
Drops
of rain
Roll
down the faces.
His
hand reaches
For
her cheeks
To
wipe out the rain.
They
seem blind
To
people around
As
they play
And
walk gaily
In
the lovely rain.
They
smile broad
Contended
they look
As
she sighs
And
kisses him;
“I’ve
longed for this.”
